Cost of being an Independent team

Independent teams had to fully fund their complete budget. The player salaries, meal money, transportation, medical costs, stadium rental, baseballs, bats, coaches and manager salaries as well as League fees.
A sponsored team had the player wages and medical cost paid by the Major League team. Sometimes the Major league team contributed as well for the cost of some of the bats and balls, as well as player transportation from home to the team location.
