The YMCA Building

The New Westminster YMCA resident tower which construction began in 1971 was closed by 1985. The large interest rates of 1982/84 were the societies undoing as the mortgage was more than the revenue thus the Y closed and the building was torn down for townhouse complex in the late 1990.s.
